I'm Rachel, he's Angel. At the moment, we live in Southeast China, but it hasn't always been that way. He's from California, I was raised in Michigan, Kentucky, Texas, and Malaysia, and somehow we have managed to be in the same place at the same time for most of the last 4 years.

I started this blog after planning yet another weekend trip, and as I held my little paper filled with scribbled notes, phone numbers, opening hours, and hand-drawn maps, I realized how much work goes into one vacation, and I had the idea that it might be helpful for us to share what we actually do when we take vacations.
The idea behind The Vacation Plan is to combine travel resources, tips, and tools, with accounts and stories from real vacations taken by real people. This is not a site proclaiming the "best" way to travel, this is simply a site where we can record what we all actually do on our little trips, and what we learn along the way!
